We all get anxious at some point and this can have a negative toll on your mental health. But how do we tackle it effectively one may ask?
when I am anxious and restless I divert my mind in the following ways:
1.]DISTANT YOURSELF FROM THE WORLD.
WHY? When you are anxious your thoughts are all over the place, resulting in overthinking and also making you a vulnerable emotional person to the opposition.
2.] CALM YOURSELF.
At the end of the day, it's you and you alone. You will have to pick yourself and get motivated all over again. No one is going to support you 24/7. This is the harsh reality.
3.]NOW TO SOMETHING.
This is there after you are done overthinking. Now you will do something that you like or that calms your inner soul.
It can be:
Listening to songs.
Guided Meditation.
Hobby.
4.] AFTER EFFECTS.
I can reassure you that you have applied the above point to reality. You are now way better than what you were 1 hour prior.
5.]FEELING BETTER.
Now you seem a bit more optimistic than before. You are willing to give that particular thing a second chance. Now, you are also telling yourself not to react the way you reacted before and that you are open to learning new things and you see failure as a form of trying to achieve success.
Well, I hope by reading this you are reassured that we all go through the same things are some given point in time. I can't say avoid being anxious because that is next to impossible but acceptance is the first step towards working with our short-comings.
