THE REALITY OF UNIVERSITY.

Okay, so today I am going to be speaking about my University experience/reality.
While you are in junior College, you feel like your life is just done, and you just want to enter university, and you just think about the freedom that you'll have, but once you enter University, you realise that your life was way better in junior College.🫡
The first point is the fact that they don't provide you with notes 🤷, and I know that this is a normal thing, but you need to understand where I am coming from.
Like, we have gone from being spoon-fed to not even giving us a proper reference book from where we could refer for our notes, and they just expect us to like make notes from numerous reference books.😭
It's just taxing, like not only do you have to listen to your teachers speak, but you also have to take down all that they are saying and then create your notes based on the mixture of your teacher's explanation as well as your reference book, so it’s a lot of work to say the least.🤯
Now my college unlike my junior college believes in like taking down notes when the teachers is explaining, generally in junior colleges teachers would be offended with the fact that we were not paying attention to them and not maintaining eye contact with them but rather just scribbing in a book but now if you are not taking notes it's as if ur uninterested in the teacher’s teaching.😬
But I am getting the full-blown aspect of college life, because one of the greatest things that I am experiencing right now is traveling 🎀.
I know that I have been saying this for the longest time, that you know I wanted to travel, and I want to learn how to travel, and I never experienced this in my junior college because you know the distance was just too convenient for me. But now this college is pretty decently far, I would say, so I have to travel by the train 🚇 instead of getting my bus, followed by walking, so it's a lot of travelling to say the least, which I am not complaining about. I am enjoying it, and I love waking up in the morning, dressing up, going to college, and traveling.
Another thing that is new for me is the fact that you can decide which lectures we can attend and which you can skip, and that is something that you all know that I wasn't given the privilege to do in my previous college. 💁
So, like here, people are just entering whenever the hell they want to, and they sit for lectures that they feel like attending🙆. It's a very free environment where people are allowed to decide which lectures they want to attend and which they want to skip, which is also the whole point of college.
Also like my campus🏫 is like really big and every day I have to like faithfully climb 4 freaking floors just to make it to my classroom because they decided to put my classroom on the 4th floor so I have been like walking every morning to reach my classroom and its like by the time I reach the third floor I'm like done with life and I just want to sit there.🔪😫
Also, my department is BMS, which is Bachelor of Management Studies, that is what I'm pursuing, so basically we have a lot of presentations and group projects that we need to do, so it's a lot of like talking, mixing around, and being involved.👫
Bottom line is you can't be an introvert in this college cuz you have to talk at least with your classmates. You have to have a group; otherwise, you are not going to survive if you are an introverted person, so that is something that is again very new to me in the sense that it's like something that makes you come out of your comfort zone.🫠
I will say that I am still adjusting to this new life of mine, and also, returning home and making notes of the lecture that I have attended is very new and exciting.👻
If you have presentations like me, don't see it as something that gives you anxiety or something negative, but think of it as a learning experience where you can express yourself to the class.⭐
And when you are giving a presentation in front of your class, remember that you are the centre of attention, so you are allowed to put your point of view forward and change the audience’s mindset. You have the power to rule their minds for a few seconds, so make sure you create a lasting impression that is meaningful. At the start of your first few presentations, it may not go well as you may lack confidence, but as you practice, it will become perfect, and then there will be a time when you don't care about the crowd, and you will get over your stage fright, and you will be a good speaker.😃
So what I am trying to say is that don't see it negatively, but think that it's a learning experience from which you can enhance your personality.⭐
Also, I have heard people say that about me, that they think I am quiet 🤷 , but if you know me, then I am not that quiet a person, as I just need that one person to yap. 👫
The fact that you have to make new friends and get to know them, adjust to them, is also something by itself, like nobody talks about the fact that you know you feel left out sitting in a class of like 60 to 70 people. You know that you're not a quiet person, but then at the same time, you don't want to show people how you act/ behave because it's just the initial stages of your college life. 🥱
But I would say give it a couple of months to adjust to this new life of yours, and it will work out in the end. Make new friends so that you have a gang who makes college life seem interesting.⭐
I hope I didn't miss out on anything, but yeah, I hope you enjoyed reading it and that it resonated with you, at least a part of it. I hope you continue to support me and my blog, and also, I haven't been very active on Pinterest because, trust me, ever since I've entered college, I haven't been able to make time for myself. Like believe it or not I've not been like watching any new anime is not doing anything about the box, because I am always exhausted.😮💨
Hopefully, I will learn how to balance my life in the upcoming months 😂.
