It's been a minute since I posted part 1 but I cannot keep you guys waiting so you we go let's pick up where we left off.
So we were all in the office me, the boss, the person who hired me who is also an intern and the girl whose about to hear crap from the boss.
THERE WE GO.
Then he was like, "What about the other event?" And the other event was in the charge of this other guy who was in the office. 👥 And she was like, "I don't know anything about that event because he is handling it." So he was like, "Call that idiot." Mind you, he said "idiot" in Hindi, you all know what that means 🤬. So the guy comes in and he was like in Hindi, "Tujhse kaam kyun nahin ho raha hai?" And this guy was like, "I tried calling them." And he was like, "Tu itna bada chutiya hai. Like, what a chutiya you are."
Bro, what? 🤯
And this boss was screaming, okay? He was literally screaming 🤬. Then he was like, "Abhi call kar and put on speaker."📱 So he called him up, and then the boss was like, "Give me the phone, let me speak." And then he talks to them and makes an arrangement, you know, like a meeting 🤝.
And then he looks at the guy after he cut the call and he is like, "I should have known tujhse kaam nahi ho payega."Like bro, he was trying, right? Can't you give him credit for that at least? 😭 And he was like, "I can show you my call log that I have been trying to get in touch with this person," but the boss was just not buying that crap 🙄.
See, usually, I don't really use bad words in my blog, but this is the way he spoke to this intern, by the way. So I wanted to tell you the raw conversation that happened in the office because we all think that, oh yes, it is a stressful place, but you don't know actually how people get treated 💔. So the guy says okay and everything, and he leaves the office room.
Then he was like, "I want people who can bring my company to great success," and all that crap 🙄. And I was just agreeing with him.
Then, the girl who was in the office with us, who was also an intern, he was like, "Why aren't the calls getting through? Why is nobody collaborating? I am getting things, but people are not picking up my call."
So then he said something that I was like, "Okay, what the hell?" 🤨 And he is like, "Bro, you are a girl. You send them a request, they will accept it."
That is so SEXIST.
How can you say this to an intern? Wait, how can you say this to a girl??? 😡 He's basically trying to say that use your sexuality in order to get collabs.
EW EW EW 🤮.
She just nodded and agreed. She leaves the office room and then he was like, "God," and he is like over-exaggerating and sighing so much 😮💨. Then he was like, "I hope you have a good time at our company. You have to work hard." Nga, I'll work hard, but not in your cuck company 🖕. I said, "Okay," and I leave the room.
Then afterwards, when I go back to my place, the girl who was there with me in the office, she was like telling all the other interns, "Like bro, I got so heated in there. I was almost about to slap him 🖐️ because how can he talk like that? I can literally take him up to the HR and I can fire him, I can report him, all this." 📝
That's when I realised that, okay, so I felt that he wasn't very professional in his talking, and then I realise that I wasn't wrong in feeling that.
Look, you can be as unfiltered as you want, but you have to be respectful, whether it's an intern, whether it's the person working under you 🤝. I don't want to hear all this crap about "this is how the world works," "this is how corporate life is." Shut the hell up 🤫. I can take the boss and your sorry ass and report you both. Don't try to justify what he did because that is not the way you talk in a professional setup 🚫. This was so bad, I wanted to leave immediately after I had that interaction with the boss 🏃♀️.
So, this is what all happened in these 2 days of my internship.
But now, let me tell you what actually pissed me off more 😡. Firstly, let me say this company is a shithole and it has no sense of privacy, and you will understand why as you progress reading my blog 🕵️♀️. Remember how I said that we needed to find information of certain companies and get their personal phone number and Gmail?
Exactly!!! 🎯
Let me tell you how it's done in this company, by the way, because I am on my mission to expose it!! 💣
So, firstly, they made me log in through the company's laptop on my LinkedIn account, which is personal, by the way 💻. I know I don't seem like a private person, but my social media's are very dear to me and I don't mess with them 📱. And then I had to search up the company's managers and send them requests, which, by the way, I am not comfortable doing because, like I said, my LinkedIn is like a private account and I don't want to be sending random people requests 🙅♀️. Because they are also getting my information, and on my LinkedIn account, what I am doing—like what degree I am doing, which college I'm studying in—everything is mentioned, and I am not interested in sharing that personalized information with random managers 🚫.
Secondly, they have certain AI tools that they have inbuilt in their Chrome which basically, if you search a person's LinkedIn profile, it gives you the Gmail and phone number if they have it linked 🔍.
Did you hear me?
We are using AI to get other people's information? 🤯 If this is not sitting with you as weird, then something is wrong with you, because why does this company need to find out other people's information via an AI tool when you can just call them up or send them an email asking for a collaboration? 🤔
If this doesn't settle with you as highly Unprofessional, something is wrong with you.
Just to expose them a little more, here is the list of AIs that they use:
ContactOut,
Apollo.io,
ZoomInfo,
Lusha,
Outreach.
There are many more which I don't remember, but you get the idea. So, from all that I mentioned, these require a subscription 💳. And you know, when there is a subscription, there is also a free trial.
So basically, what this cuck company does is that it makes you search all the information, and within 2 days, the Gmail that you are using for the above AI tools gets exhausted 📉. And then they are like, "Just login through some of the other Gmails in the laptop." Mind you, there are other people's personal Gmails on the laptop and I am just supposed to sign in and use their Gmail just to get random information.
LIKE, WHERE IS THE PRIVACY??? 🕵️♂️
On the second day, I had exhausted all my free trial plans and then they were like, "Oh, you can just login through your personal Gmail and get access to the free plan." EXCUSE ME?!?! 😡
Look, I am not comfortable putting out my personal Gmail in the company's laptop, okay? Because it is highly unprofessional, like I shouldn't be using my personal details at all 🚫.
Let's talk about the daily to-do list that the interns had 💀. And oh my god, this gets interesting.
Here we go:
Three LinkedIn articles per day 📰. Now, they have their own company's website where basically you have to pick a news article, paste it on ChatGPT 🤖, and there was a specific criteria of like 120 words and the title has to be of 6 to 7 words. And that's not the only thing—after you get the output from ChatGPT, you have to post it on the company's website for the interns, and then you also have to go on your LinkedIn account and post that same thing as a post 📱. For what? No, I don't get the point of this. Why should I do this? 🤔 And this is not even some interesting article, okay? It can be a random article, there's literally no point to it 🙄. I am not learning anything because I am feeding everything into ChatGPT, so there are times where these people are just posting and they don't even read the articles 🥱. And as I said, I am taking my LinkedIn very personally, so I am not comfortable posting some random shit that I didn't even proofread 🙅♀️. Also, on LinkedIn, you can't post articles after articles. There has to be a three-hour gap between the articles you post ⏰. That's another pain in the ass.
Minimum 20 to 25 calls to brand heads for collaboration 📞. Oh, this point is so interesting, and I'll tell you why. You have to make 25 calls, that's fine, but you have to make the calls through your personal phone. Your phone number is going out to random brand managers 📵. Also, they are not covering your phone balance 💸. So why should I waste my money on recharging my phone just to call random people? And them getting my phone number... today, with a phone number, you can do a lot of things 📱. Because my phone number is linked to all my bank details and so many other important details 💳. If something happens, who is responsible? 🤔
We need to send a minimum of 30 to 50 connections on LinkedIn to build a personal connection 👥. So, so I'm talking again, sending random brand managers LinkedIn connections so they are going to get access to my personal details that I mentioned on my LinkedIn account 🚫.
A Minimum of 30 emails to brands for collabs 📧. I was okay with this point because you just have to draft an email and then just keep editing the names and everything. But if you are telling me 30 emails one person has to do, and you have around 6 interns, there will come a day where there are no brands to collab with anymore 📉. The other childish thing that these people used to do is that at the end of the day, they would have a report of how many emails are sent, and then they would be happy. Like, what is giving you happiness? Bruh 🙄.
The other thing about LinkedIn is that we all had to like, share, and comment on every post that the company put. Like bro, where is my free will? Oh shit, it went away when I joined the company 💀. (This point was a compulsory thing to do and it pissed me off 😡).
Okay, so this is all that I can remember. Now, let's talk about me 🙋♀️. Firstly, I was so overwhelmed with everything 😫. I had no time for anything; I felt like my freedom was snatched from me 🕊️. And I get it, this is the reality of a 9-to-5 job 💼. And these two days of internship made me realise that maybe I am not ready for this. But I don't know, we will get there. You take one day at a time, right? 🗓️
Honestly, I joined this company because they said that they were a PR and marketing agency, and you know me, if someone says "marketing," I am like, already gone crazy 🤪. But this was like a freaking call centre job, and trust me, I did not enjoy a single moment ❌. As I said, I used to come home by 8:30 🌙. Honestly, I used to just go in the bathroom and cry 😭 because, what the hell, I did not have time for anything, for anyone. Forget anyone, I did not even have time for myself.
And these two days of internship made me question my life choices 🤔. These two days made me question if I did the right thing by taking my BMS degree course 🎓. And I have never, ever regretted any decision in my life till date. But boy, these 2 days made me question everything: my career, my interest, and my future 🔮.
Also, there was this one incident where I was telling my cousins about it, and instead of being supportive, they were like, "This is just how the world is," "Welcome to work life." 🙄
Bro, I am ranting to you. I am trying to tell you how I feel. When I talk, I am coming to you for validation ✨. Do not try to act like the bigger person and try to show that you are so experienced with life 🧔. I don't want to hear that the path ahead is difficult. I know it is; it's difficult for everyone 🗺️. What I needed at the time was support, and you failed to give me that thing 💔. So, thanks to that, I won't be ever approaching you again 🙅♀️.
I hate people who try to show off their years of experience and try to shove it in your face with their experience, and who constantly keep looking down at you just because you are younger 😠. I might be young, but I have my opinions. At least I have the guts to freaking post about this on the internet, while they would just rant about it to their friends 🔥.
But my bad for turning to them for support and validation.
As I said, my mental health was really screwed during these two days of internship 🧠.
But what made me lose it was the fact that I was at 2.3 million monthly views on Pinterest before joining this company 📈. And in two days of this goddamn internship and being so busy, I came down to 2 million 📉.
It's not 0.3 difference—that is 30 lakh people. They dropped 30 lakh people 😭.
That's the amount of people that I have lost because I wasn't posting.
Wait, let me rephrase that.
I did not have time to post.
I was so caught up in these 2 days that I didn't have time to even edit a few snaps for my Pinterest 📸.
Honestly, I hope that company goes into a big loss and goes bankrupt, IDC 💸. The manager should be reported for no code of conduct, no ethics, no decency 🚫. It's a cuck company and it should shut down because of this poor management 💣. I hope no one joins in.
Anyways, I had drafted and sent a message to the person who hired me and gave a false reasoning for my resignation 📝.
And I was finally free.
FREE 🙌.
This is all that happened in my two days of internship. I hope my next internship lasts longer 🤞.
I'm satisfied as I have finally done my job of exposing this cuck company 💥. That was the whole point of this additional blog post—just doing my job of turning my experience into a successful blog post ✨. By far, the longest I've ever written ✍️.
That brings us to the end of our internship experience it was a long blog I wrote it in one shot and realised that it was too long to be a single blog post. Hence I divided it into 2 parts.
I hope you enjoy reading it because I enjoyed leaving the company 🤣😜.
See you in my June blog.
